The Club holds around three tastings each year. Generally, we hold one in the summer, one in early autumn and one ahead of Christmas. 

We normally present up to a dozen wines of a particular style or from a specific wine region. The events are usually informal walk-round events, giving members an opportunity to meet and get to know each other and members of the Committee, while discussing and sharing their views on the wines being tasted.

Our  Christmas tasting is particularly popular. In addition to tasting some of the Club’s reserves, we hold a raffle to distribute some of our “Bin End” wines. These are the same exceptional wines we show at tastings and dinners, where the quantities remaining are too low to service a dinner or tasting.

At tastings and dinners, members are invited to score each wine out of 7.  No special wine knowledge is required, and it is always fun to compare opinions on fine wines.
